Franklin, Tenn. — In January 2018, Carl’s Jr. will open its first Manhattan location in Midtown, near Penn Station, at 425-427 Seventh Ave. The restaurant’s parent company, CKE Restaurants, signed a 15-year lease, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

With two floors of dining space, the restaurant is anticipated to become the shining star for quick-service food in the city and a refuge for New Yorker City commuters.

“We’re excited to open the first Carl’s Jr. in Manhattan in early 2018,” says Jeff Jenkins, chief marketing officer for Carl’s Jr. “We know New Yorkers are a tough burger crowd, but we’re confident that the Happy Star will outshine the competition. We’re looking forward to becoming a proud member of the NYC community, so keep your eyes open in the new year — we’re coming in hot.”

Carl’s Jr., which started as a hot-dog cart in 1941, today has more than 1,100 restaurants worldwide. Its parent company, Franklin, Tenn.-based CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc., is not a franchisor and operates through its subsidiaries. Carl’s Jr. Restaurants LLC and Hardee’s Restaurants LLC own, operate and franchise the Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, Green Burrito® and Red Burrito® concepts with more than 3,800 franchised or company-operated restaurants in 44 states and 41 foreign countries and U.S. territories.
